How to Reset Your Email Password in cPanel (The Bear Necessity Guide!)
Whether you’ve forgotten your email password or just feel like it’s time for a refresh, resetting your email password in cPanel is a quick and painless process. No tech wizardry needed – we’re keeping it super simple. Let’s walk through it together!
1. Log in to your cPanel account
First things first, you need to get into your cPanel dashboard. This is usually at: https://yourdomain.co.za/cpanel. Enter your username and password (these are usually provided by your hosting provider).

2. Go to “Email Accounts”
Once you’re inside cPanel, scroll down or use the search bar to find “Email Accounts.” Click it!

3. Find the email you want to update
You’ll see a list of your email accounts. Find the one you want to reset the password for, and click the “Manage” button next to it.

4. Enter your new password
In the “Security” section, you’ll see a field to change the password. You can:
- Type in a strong new password (aim for a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols).
- Or click “Generate” to have cPanel create one for you.
✅ Make sure to save your new password somewhere safe!

5. Click “Update Email Settings”
After entering the new password, scroll down and hit the “Update Email Settings” button. Done and done!

Final Tip
- Don’t forget to update your password in any email apps you use (like Outlook, Apple Mail, or your phone’s email app).
