5. Client Area and Hosting Accounts

WebPanda operates a customer Client Area at cloudpanda.co.za for the management of services, invoices, domains, support requests and customer accounts.

When you use the Client Area, information relating to your account, orders, services, payments, domains and support interactions may be stored and processed in order to provide those services.

Web hosting and email services may also generate technical logs containing information such as IP addresses, login attempts, server requests, email activity and security events. These logs may be processed for security, troubleshooting, service delivery, abuse prevention and system administration.

6. Payments

WebPanda may provide payment options through third-party payment providers, including PayFast.

When you choose to pay using a third-party payment provider, information required to process the transaction may be provided directly to or processed by that provider.

WebPanda may receive information relating to the transaction, such as the customer, amount, transaction reference and payment status, but payment providers may independently collect and process additional payment and financial information according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations.

WebPanda does not require customers to provide full payment card details directly to us when those details are processed through a third-party payment gateway.

7. Domain Registration

When you register, renew or transfer a domain through WebPanda, certain personal or organisational information may need to be supplied to a domain registrar, registry or related domain service provider.

The information required depends on the domain extension, applicable registry rules and registrar requirements.

Domain registration information may include details such as your name, organisation, email address, telephone number and other registrant information required to administer the domain.

Where supported, WHOIS or domain privacy services may be used to limit the amount of registrant information displayed publicly. Availability depends on the applicable domain extension and registrar.

8. Google Analytics

WebPanda uses Google Analytics 4 (“Google Analytics”) to understand how visitors use our websites and to improve our services and website experience.

Google Analytics may process information such as:

• Pages viewed;
• Interactions with our websites;
• Session information;
• Approximate geographic location;
• Browser and device information;
• Traffic source information; and
• Pseudonymous identifiers used to distinguish users and sessions.

We use cross-domain measurement between webpanda.co.za and cloudpanda.co.za so that a visitor moving between our main website and Client Area can be measured as part of the same website journey where applicable.

Our Google Analytics property is configured with a data retention period of up to 14 months for applicable user-level and event-level data, subject to Google’s own data processing and retention practices.

Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies. You can also restrict or block cookies through your browser settings and use privacy or tracking-prevention features made available by your browser.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our websites may use cookies and similar technologies to operate correctly, maintain sessions, remember preferences, protect accounts and measure website usage.

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

Some information may need to be retained despite a deletion request where we have a legal, regulatory, security, contractual or legitimate record-keeping requirement.

17. Children’s Information

WebPanda’s services are intended for adults and businesses and are not directed at children under the age of 18.

We do not knowingly invite children to create customer accounts or purchase WebPanda services.
